Who am I? I’m a mom. Our Boy was born on February 29, 2012. We’re thrilled to be parents, even when its exhausting keeping up with him.

What do I do? I work at a university doing IT stuff. I earned a Master’s in English and studied the Medieval and Renaissance time periods since they were the most fun to me. Yeah, I actually did a Masters degree becauseI thought it was fun. I’m weird. I love education. I love working at a university that gives me the opportunity to help students every day and sometimes teach a freshman studies class here and there. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work.

What do I like? I like food, Sci Fi/Fantasy, and Disney. I love reading, but truth be told, I’m not a big fan of most of the respected modern authors. If given a choice between Austen, Shakespeare, and Chaucer vs reading Hemingway, Joyce, or Faulkner….I’d go with the pre-20th century folks any day.  SciFi/Fantasy, though, is a thing unto itself. They may not always be respected in academic settings (this is starting to change!); but it’s mind candy to me.
